## Foreward

### Greetings and Welcome to Umbrella's Docs!

#### Blockchains are complex topics. We wrote this trying to ease the process of understanding where Umbrella is coming from. This is a product and company built by true web3 natives. We have felt the pains of building with web3 while also having our whole lives entrenched within it. We may be researchers, product managers, engineers, and academics, but we are web3 users first. We are rallied around the idea that a usable experience is a necessary evolution for web3 to prove its value, but there's no one approaching the problem holistically. This Gitbook acts as Umbrella's whitepaper and is a living document that will evolve and progress alongside our technology. We hope you appreciate what you're about to read and decide to join us on our journey of proving we are the community that will bring the next billion users to an internet that is freer, safer, and more rewarding.
